MCDC Committee Person Training: Learn, Connect, and Get Involved
The Mercer County Democratic Committee is hosting a Committee Person Training on Wednesday, September 30 at 5:30 p.m. at the Hollowbrook Community Center, 320 Hollowbrook Drive in Ewing.
Whether you are newly elected to the County Committee or have served for some time, this is a good opportunity to learn more about the role and responsibilities of a committee person and get a refresher on some of the ways committee members can participate in our local and county Democratic organizations. MCDC’s bylaws provide for regular County Committee meetings, and committee members play a formal role in the organization and its activities.
The training is expected to cover:
County government responsibilities
Building stronger communities through County Committee service
The role of election challengers in the November 2026 midterm election
We especially encourage our West Windsor Democratic Committee members to attend. Beyond the training itself, this will be a great opportunity to spend some time with your fellow West Windsor committee people and to meet and connect with Democratic committee members from municipalities throughout Mercer County.
One of the best ways to make County Committee service more useful and rewarding is to build relationships with the people doing similar work in neighboring communities. This event gives us a chance to do exactly that while also learning more about the responsibilities that come with the role.
